When the Eames Aluminium Group EA 107/8 was unveiled in 1958, it set a new standard in office seating. By combining luxury and sophistication the designer couple Charles and Ray Eames managed to create a collection that to this day stands out among the most widely coveted of modern classics. This ergonomically perfect oriented furniture has enforced exactly 50 years. It became the basis for several other Eames designs.
An important feature is the intelligent combination of these materials. His form is clear and transparent, and the construction clearly visible. Aluminium profiles give the chair stability and lightness. The seat is not a cover but part of the design. Even without a thick padding the seat offers for its form high comfort. The execution in brown leather is rare and is by Vitra no standard equipment.
Please note: Overall, 6 chairs in stock. All chairs are in the current condition not rotatable. They have a four star-foot. This is model “EA 107”.
Subsequently, all chairs can easily equipped with a rotating ball joint from Vitra (additional charge for a chair: € 130,-). This is model “EA 108”. Compare also other offer model EA 117.
