Description
This brooch is delicately made like a very natural depiction of a rose with vespertine petals and gently opening sepals. The flower head is enameled in a transparent blue on guilloches. The tips of the petals are crafted in white gold and inlaid with brilliants which set luminous accents.
In Japan, up to today blue roses are valued as a symbol of love fulfilled and are well-liked wedding gifts.
This brooch was crafted by jeweler René Kern who opened his first store on Königsallee in Düsseldorf in 1950. Still today his fancy and individually crafted creations enchant jewelry lovers and connoisseurs. The brooch offered here is a singleton, made for Kern’s sophisticated Paris clientele. A premium piece with double needling in white gold and boot hook closures in excellent condition!
