Description

This six-strand necklace dates to the 1930s and is an extravagant and elegant necklace for any décolleté, most certainly a variation of the “Draperies de Décolleté” created by Cartier in this decade. The 18-karat yellow gold ball chains flow gently around the neck and appear to be guided by an oval toggle through which the open ends fall. The clasp, the sides of which slide into each other, lies flat on the back of the neck and does not tend to twist. An elegant piece of jewelry that gives the impression of a wrapped scarf, an androgynous collar ornament, and can be a truly timeless favorite for an individual personality.
