Description

A millennium ring with five diamonds, well calibrated in size, clarity and color. Crafted diligently, it is forged with a notched shoulder and evenly hoisted and balled out prongs. The brilliants are set in a straight line and the setting is crafted without any lugs, making it the perfect front ring.

The type of a five stone ring traces back to the sentimental era of the 19th century but remains very popular even today. The compilation of five gemstones was interpreted personally, yet also philosophically, religiously or mystically. A common association of the time was the understanding of the five stones as symbols of the five stages of life: 1. childhood, 2. early adult life, 3. the stage of duties and family life, 4. the stage of retirement as advisor, 5. the stage of world renunciation, wisdom and letting go. The stones often also were interpreted as a symbol of time spent together: getting to know each other, engagement, marriage, having children and growing old together.
