A magical ring with a 4-carat, perfect opal surrounded by a brilliant-cut diamond tourage. The precious opal with a light base color shows a lively play of colours in all shades of the rainbow. Red, orange, green, blue and even yellow from the center to the edge. Depending on the perspective, the most beautiful color effects can be seen across the entire stone – there are no pale, dull areas here. The diamonds have a high clarity (VVS) and white color (G). The settings are finely set; the gallery is flat and skillfully inserted into the ring shank. There are no signs of wear, cracks or other disturbing features. Additional information: In the 1960s, an electron microscope was used to prove for the first time that the opal consists of tiny spheres of the mineral cristobalite (silica gel or silicon dioxide), which, depending on their size and arrangement, make the light shimmer in the most beautiful colors. The interplay of all the colour reflections is known as “opalescence”. The color spectrum is fully developed in this stone and is particularly effective as a cabochon.
