Description

This expressive brooch comes from the Parisian house of Boucheron, one of the oldest and most renowned jewelers in France – founded in 1858 on Place Vendôme, where Haute Joaillerie and French cultural history meet to this day.
Crafted in 18 ct yellow gold, this exceptional piece takes the shape of two wings – a design that conveys both strength and lightness. The dynamically rising gold segments are reminiscent of stylized feathers, elegantly curved and rhythmically arranged like a moving swing. Full of new beginnings, verve and glamor, they embody an aesthetic that is typical of post-war France. In the 1950s, people were looking for symbols of renewal, freedom, a return to elegance and luxury, and this is precisely where Boucheron comes in: The design translates the feeling of the “new flying” into jewelry form.
The brooch can be worn on the lapel as well as on the shoulder or on a beret, as a powerful emblem of independence and style. A masterfully designed collector’s item from the Golden Era of Parisian jewelry.
